Our Beliefs

1)  The Scriptures of the Old and New Testament are verbally and plenarily inspired of God and inerrant in the original writings, and are of supreme and final authority in faith and life.  We believe that dispensationalism is the result of a consistent, literal, grammatical and historical interpretation of Scripture.

2)  We believe in one God, eternally consisting of three Persons:  God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

3)  We believe that Jesus Christ is true deity, co-equal with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit.  His humanity was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is therefore true man.

4)  We believe the Holy Spirit to be a Person, co-equal with God the Father and God the Son.  We believe that His ministry is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and during this dispensation to convict men, regenerate the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, seal, empower and sanctify the believer for godly living and service.  Believers sealed by the Holy Spirit are sealed unto the day of completed redemption.

5)  We believe that Adam and Eve were created in the image and likeness of God, that Adam sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God, and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature.

6)  We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a substitutionary sacrifice, and that He was buried and bodily rose again.  All who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood and thus are born again of the Holy Spirit and become children of God and temples of the Holy Spirit.  We believe in the eternal security of every person who has trusted in Jesus Christ as personal Savior.

7)  We believe that the local church is an assembly of believers, organized for worship, work and fellowship.  We believe that the two ordinances of the church are water baptism and the Communion, neither of which has any merit for salvation, and that the mode of baptism is immersion because it best exemplifies our identification with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection.  We believe that the local church is an independent and self-governing assembly responsible alone to Christ Who is its Savior and Lord, and that the Body of Christ is a spiritual organism made up of all believers everywhere in Christ.

8)  We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven, and in His present life there for us as High Priest and Advocate.  We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting, conscious punishment of the lost.

9)  We believe in “That Blessed Hope,” the personal, pretribulational, premillennial and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
